We had an Egg hunt at Gran and Grandaddy's and a few friends over to help! Jackson was only interested in the golf cart and didn't care much about finding eggs until he realized there was candy inside. Lilly didn't stop to eat this year for a change. We had a nice visit with Heidi and Rob and spend the day Sunday going to church and with family. Some will turn up their nose at Jackson's outfit (Heidi) but boys in the South should wear knee socks while young and girls should wear hats. At least Jackson is young enough to cooperate. This will however be his last year wearing this outfit, but he was so darn cute! (Note: Pictures have not been edited! If I ever get time for that I will post some better ones!)

Training Wheels
Lilly decided this past weekend she would like to take the traning wheels off her bike. I am sure this idea came from a conversation with a friend b/c she tends to be competitive. Jonathan and Lilly gave a go of the bike riding, but Jonathan lost patience easliy and Lilly was not fully into learning. SO I guess we will just keep trying. Jackson had a great time running around outside and playing in the dirt. Another Lilly note, she told me last week she didn't want to wait another year for kindergarden. She is the youngest in her preschool class and has been very disappointed becasue the older kids are learning to tie their shoes and other "kindergarden" skills. She is determined to go to school and ride the bus!
The last picture is of my very own Junie B. Jones. If you have never read Junie B. you need to and you will see Lilly written all over her. She is really dressed for dinner with RoeRoe and Haley.

Mischief
Mischeif has become Jackson's middle name. He climbs the barstools and stands at the sink trying to spray water (he even uses sound effects). Each time I tell him to get down and pop him he cries, but gets right back up. He shows his temper with Lilly when she aggrevates him. I really thought we were going to have one mild mannered child. He will be the one that we end up in the emergency room with b/c he is constantly climbing or into something. He has added to his vocabulary. He tells me "love you", saddly I am the only one that understands. He also says golf cart which he LOVES to ride, Lilly and Grandad. He just doesn't understand the cold. We are ready for warm weather and lot's of time outside.

Lilly at Four
I do not have the room nor the time to summarize Lilly Marie! She is full of life as always. She LOVES school and her Gran. Each day she will ask "Do I have school this day?" and "Can I spend the night with Gran?" About two Sundays ago we were leaving church and I couldn't find Lilly, she had gotten in Mama and Daddy's car and was buckled in. She didn't come home until Wednesday of that week. She is taking dance and her goal is to dance of stage. That is her Tuesday question "DO I get to dance on stage this day?" As you can see she is full of questions about everything. SHe has decided she is going to Chapel Hill to college (no known reason for picking this school) and her profession is still dish washing. I think she mentioned teaching, but I am going to steer her towards law b/c she can definitly argue her point and have the last word. She still sleeps with her blanket (in the bed with us)and sucks her thumb when tired. She can be the sweetest little girl in the world and try your last nerve in the next. She just spent the weekend with Gran and Grandaddy in Charlotte visiting Heidi and Rob. Rob who has the patience of Job was caught loosing that patience with her. She did not want to come home and I can only imagine it was right up her alley to get all the attention. She is truely unique and a bright spot in so many lives. We are thankful for Lilly and her four years with us that have gone by way too quickly.

Christmas 2009

We had a very blessed CHristmas. Our children are healthy and for the most part healthy. Santa was the hightlight of Lilly's day. She was so excited she even slept in her bed all night. (We wish there was motivation for that daily. Jonthan told her if she didn't stay in her bed the next night he was going to spank her, she came to my side of the bed about 3am and said "Mama scoot over so Daddy can't see me.") THe children got a battery gator together however Jackson LOVES this and says "Car, Car!" everytime he sees it. Lilly drives, threw him out on their first trip. He really needs a seatbelt with her driving. Lilly got lot's of Barbies and stuff. SHe has really started to enteratin herself with these and babydolls. Lilly also helped make cupcakes for a birthday party for JEsus and that was a special time at church.
Jackson still doesn't talk. His vocabulary is very limited. He knows ball and each night watches football with Jonathan and continually says "ball, ball" Other than Da and Hat that is about all he will say. Of course with Lilly around he doesn't get too much of a chance. He likes to be held, mainly by me which can be very tiring! Lilly is growing so fast, it is hard to believe she is almost four. She is very determined in her ways and it is almost impossible to change her mind once she is set on doing something. She loves to go and socialize with anyone who will partcipate. She really does make me smile, when I am not furious with her :)

Jackson at One

My little fellow is not so little anymore (never really has been.)
-Weight 24 lbs and 31 inches. (Lost two pounds in a week since going off formula that included two scoops of cereal in each bottle.)
-Head off the charts.
-Walking, running everywhere, mainly into someones waiting arms.
-Not yet talking. He will point and grunt to get the things he needs. Just this morning at 4am he was awake and sitting beside me he would grunt and point out of the room. He wanted milk.
-He will sign "More" usually for food.
-LOVES to play with Lilly, ride tractors and the lawnmower, LOVES Mama and Grandaddy!
-When I walk into the house in the afternoon the highlight of my day is Jackson running up to me with his arms outstretched.
-Gives kisses to very few. Me occasionally and Brandy all the time!
-WIll blow kisses
-Thought he was not going to give up the bottle. Took just a week for him to go to bed without the bottle. He does drink soy milk.
-The only words he attempts to say, "ball", "da", "car"
-Doesn't like for Lilly to cry, which happens a lot because she stays in trouble.
-Very tenderhearted. When told "NO" he pokes his lips out and cries like his heart is broken.
-Very much the apple of his Mama's Eye!
